We are an independent publisher of unusual literature and photography. Since we began to publish in 2015, we have put out work by the Decadent novelist Jean Lorrain, surreal memoirist Michel Leiris, and fallen starlet Barbara Payton, as well as two collections by the contemporary photographer John Brian King. We love the eccentric, the unexpected, the seedy and the absurd.

Our works of literature have the same distinctive look, with thick black lines framing the covers and eye-catching images, and our photography books are made in Italy by a high-quality art printer.

We take orders directly on our website, and offer free domestic shipping and include Spurl postcards with every order. We ship orders internationally as well.

You can order our books on Amazon – in the US, France, Germany, Japan, Spain, Brazil, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Even if a book is marked out of stock, Amazon is typically able to deliver it to you.

Booksellers can order our books through Small Press Distribution.

With the exception of the long essay My Suicide, we do not offer e-books. That’s because our printed books look so great, we want you to have them, lend them, and be able to destroy them when they offend your sensibilities. Our blog features even more wonderful writing and photography from artists, translators, and writers whose work we follow and admire.

Sign up for our mailing list to know more about our publications as they are released. Or fuck it, just buy our books.
