ABOUT SPURL EDITIONS
about
Spurl Editions (est. 2015) is an independent publisher of unusual literature and photography, specializing in works fitting for our current decrepit and apocalyptic world. We love the unexpected, the peculiar, the seedy, and the absurd. We’ve published French, Italian, & German literature in translation, surreal Hollywood memoirs, radical political writing, and new American fiction. To know more about our publications as they are released, please sign up for our mailing list.
info for customers
You can order our books and gifts directly on our website; we are speedy and send Spurl postcards with every order. We charge $3.50 per order for shipping within the U.S., and $20 per order for international shipping.
You can also order our books through Asterism, which provides more affordable international shipping.
info for booksellers
Our books are now available through our distributor Asterism.
e-books?
Other than the essay My Suicide, we do not offer e-books; that’s because our printed books look so great, we want you to have them, lend them, and be able to destroy them when they offend your sensibilities.
masthead
Spurl Editions is managed by an ever-changing cadre of forgotten eccentrics; the editor-in-chief is currently St. Drogo, patron saint of shepherds, coffee, and the ugly.

motto
“Today, eating and drinking mean nothing to me. I have completely given up smoking. As for physical love, when I indulge in it I dread its sweet convulsion. Only that which contributes to the survival of my personality can afford me a little pleasure: the engraving of a portrait, the republishing of a book.”
